According to the press release dated September 15, 2017 (published on September 19, 2017), Mr Gerald Darmanin, the French Minister in charge of Public Accounts announced the closing of the tax department dedicated to the spontaneous regularization of foreign assets (the so-called “Service de Traitement des Déclarations Rectificatives, “STDR”) will close on December 31, 2017.
